The second phase project of Zhuhai Gaolan container terminal has completed the final stage acceptance check and will be opened up shortly.
Located at Gaolan port area of Zhuhai port, Guangdong province, the terminal project will be able to accommodate container ships above 100,000 tonnes-class, having a designed annual handling capacity of 3m teu.
To be developed as the largest container terminal at the west bank of Pearl river, the second phase project of Gaolan container terminal will meet the demands of handling large-size container vessel, and add a new ocean shipping channel for the region, said Zhuhai Port.
In 2020. Gaolan port posted a cargo throughput of 121.35m tons and a container volume of 1.42m teu.
