Norway’s Zinus AS has won its first Australian contract to supply a fully autonomous ZPP800 DC Charging Tower for a Transport for NSW project at Barangaroo Wharf in Sydney, according to Zinus AS.

UGL Transport awarded the contract, with Transport for NSW as the end customer.  The equipment will support shoreside charging infrastructure for Sydney Ferries’ first battery-electric ferry pilot.  “This contract is a major milestone for Zinus,” said Geir Arne Bjørkelund, sales manager at Zinus AS. He said the Barangaroo Wharf project made the Australian market entry “even more special”.

UGL Transport’s Darek Koper, project director eMobility, said the ZPP800 offered “a compelling combination of autonomy, performance, and suitability for complex, high-visibility locations like Barangaroo Wharf”.

Zinus AS is a Norwegian supplier of shore-power products and autonomous vessel-charging systems for ports and maritime operators. Its owners include EPS Ventures, DSD, Eviny Ventures, LOS Gruppen, Nysnø and Hartree.

UGL Transport is an Australia and New Zealand transport services platform jointly owned by CIMIC Group and Japan’s Sojitz Corporation under a 50:50 structure completed in January 2026.
