Fratelli Cosulich CEO of Marine Fuel, Timothy Cosulich, has been elected as chairman of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA).
The CEO of the family-owned marine fuels business will be taking over as chairman of IBIA for a one-year term from 1 April, and is currently serving as vice-chair of the association.
Timothy Cosulich commented on being elected chairman of IBIA: “Family is one of the key thoughts that go through my mind as I get ready to take over as IBIA Chairman in April 2022. My uncle Antonio Cosulich, who many in the industry have met, was the second Chairman in IBIA’s history a long time ago and I am honoured and proud to follow on his footsteps in doing my best to contribute to IBIA’s growth and success.”
The shipping industry’s to low and zero carbon fuels will very much be on the agenda. He added, “IBIA will play an increasingly important role in the energy transition and in the marine fuel business and I am excited to work alongside the Secretariat, the Board of Directors, and members at large, to achieve ambitious goals.”
