A 19-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband following a domestic dispute in Tarihal village of Karnataka’s Hubballi taluk. Police have arrested the husband along with four others in connection with the case.

The victim, identified as Nagarathna Halemani, had married Shivaraj, a resident of Tarihal, in February this year. According to police, the couple got into an argument on Wednesday morning, which escalated into a violent altercation.

During the quarrel, Shivaraj allegedly struck Nagarathna on the head with a helmet, causing severe injuries. She collapsed at the scene and died.

Police from Hubballi Rural Police Station reached the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation. Superintendent of Police Gunjan Arya confirmed that Shivaraj, the main accused, has been taken into custody. Based on the complaint filed in the case, a total of five people has been arrested.

A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and the alleged involvement of the other accused.
