NEW DELHI: A teenage boy was allegedly stabbed to death in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri following a dispute linked to earlier altercations with local youths, police said on Monday.
According to police, a PCR call was received on April 13 reporting that the boy, a resident of E-2 block in Sultanpuri, had been stabbed. He was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been involved in minor, unreported disputes with neighbourhood youths over petty issues.
On Monday evening, the boy reportedly encountered a juvenile along with three associates from the same locality. The confrontation escalated into a violent clash tied to their past disputes, during which the group allegedly attacked him with a knife, inflicting fatal injuries.
Police said three juveniles have been apprehended so far, while efforts are underway to trace others involved.
A case has been registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sultanpuri police station. Investigators are working to establish the exact sequence of events and motive, and are also examining whether the accused had any prior history of violence.
