A 17-year-old boy was critically injured after being shot following an altercation at an eatery in Southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony area on Tuesday evening.
According to police, a PCR call regarding the firing incident was received at Amar Colony police station around 7.54 pm.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenager was sitting at the eatery with a girl when a group of boys passed by. One of them allegedly brushed against or touched his chair, leading to an argument. The group then left the spot.
Police said the group returned about four to five minutes later, after which one of the boys allegedly opened fire at the teenager before fleeing.
The injured boy was first taken to Moolchand Hospital and later shifted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for further treatment. Officials said his condition remains critical but stable.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Police teams and senior officers reached the spot soon after the shooting. Crime teams examined the area, while investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and using technical surveillance to identify and trace the accused.
