A technician working on the set of the upcoming film Jailer 2 reportedly died after being electrocuted during a shoot at Adityaram Film City on Chennai’s East Coast Road (ECR).
Accident Reported During Pending Shoot Schedule
According to reports, the main filming schedule had already been completed, but the production team was continuing work on a few remaining scenes at the studio complex. Several technicians and workers were present during the shoot when the incident occurred.
The deceased has been identified as Karthikeyan, an electrician from Salem who was working with the film unit. Reports state that he suffered an electric shock while carrying out technical duties on the set.
Crew members reportedly rushed him to a hospital immediately after the accident, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
Film Team Reportedly Shocked by the Incident
The incident has cast a shadow over the production of Jailer 2, which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role.

Police Begin Investigation
Police at Kanathur Police Station have reportedly registered a case and begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Investigators are examining whether adequate electrical and workplace safety measures were in place at the shooting location. Preliminary reports suggest officials are looking into possible issues involving the electrical setup used on the set.
