Offshore drilling services provider Odfjell Drilling has received a contract extension from Serica Energy for operations on the Bruce platform off the UK.
As informed by Odfjell Drilling on Friday, Serica Energy has extended the contract for the provision of storage, preservation, maintenance, and drilling services, which started on 1 November 2018.
The original contract for one year plus two one-year options has been extended to 31 October 2022.
Elisabeth Haram, EVP of Odfjell Energy, commented: “We are delighted to continue our strong collaboration with Serica on the Bruce platform and look forward to continuing the delivery of safe and efficient operations together.”
The Bruce complex lies 340 kilometres northeast of Aberdeen in the UK Sector of the Northern North Sea and consists of three bridge-linked platforms.
Last year, Serica extended the life of the Bruce field through to 2030 due to a combination of factors, including a resource upgrade and lower breakeven costs.
