FEROZEPUR: Lakhwinder Singh, 65, who was critically injured in a Pakistani drone attack during Operation Sindoor, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night after nearly two months of treatment. A resident of Khai Pheme Ke village in Punjab’s Ferozepur district, Lakhwinder had sustained severe burns when parts of an explosive-laden drone struck his home.
He was rushed to a hospital in Ludhiana, around 140 km away, but despite ongoing medical care, could not survive.
His wife, Sukhwinder Kaur, 60, had died just days after the incident, on May 13.
