New Delhi: On Friday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) deliberated on the potential role its cadre could play in crisis situations and preparedness drills, including civil defence exercises linked to Operation Sindoor. The discussions took place on the opening day of its three-day all-India Prant Pracharak meeting in Delhi.

In addition to crisis management, the Sangh also addressed issues related to the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh and West Bengal, exploring avenues to bring these concerns to the attention of the government and other relevant platforms.

The meeting, which is also reviewing the organization’s progress, is preparing for the centenary celebrations set for October 2. Participants reflected on the RSS’s historical role in crises, recalling incidents like the 1962 war, when RSS volunteers helped regulate traffic in Delhi and provided relief efforts at Prime Minister Nehru’s request.

A total of 233 functionaries, including leaders from 32 affiliate organizations, are attending the event. According to RSS publicity chief Sunil Ambekar, the Sangh plans to organize social harmony meetings and outreach campaigns as part of its ongoing efforts.
