BENGALURU: A 40-year-old newlywed homemaker died by suicide at her residence in Bengaluru’s Yeshwantpur area, following which police registered a case against her husband on charges of abetment to suicide.
The deceased was identified as M Sharada. Her parents lodged a complaint against her husband, Mahesh Kumar, who works for a private company.
According to police, the couple had married around eight months ago and were living together in Yeshwantpur. Investigators said the two allegedly had frequent arguments over minor issues.
“Sharada was reportedly distressed due to the recurring fights. She allegedly died by suicide late at night by hanging herself inside the house,” a police officer said.
The incident came to light after Mahesh Kumar reportedly broke open the door and found her unconscious.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
