Thiruvananthapuram: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has dismissed officer Sukanth Suresh in connection with the death of a female colleague, which is suspected to have been a suicide. Sukanth went missing after the incident.
The woman’s parents have accused Sukanth of sexually assaulting her and embezzling nearly Rs 3.5 lakh. Her body was discovered on the railway tracks at Chackai on March 24. Following an investigation, police found that Sukanth had forged documents to facilitate an abortion for his colleague, with whom he was allegedly in a relationship.
The dismissal followed a police report based on their findings. Authorities raided Sukanth’s residence in Malappuram but were unable to locate him or his parents. Both officers were on probation with the IB at the time.
