NEW DELHI: Disturbing new intelligence indicates that terrorists based in Pakistan, under the leadership of designated global terrorist Hafiz Saeed, are actively strategizing to initiate new attacks on India, with Bangladesh being developed as a potential launch site. This alarming information is derived from a video recording of a rally that took place in Khairpur Tamewali, Pakistan, on October 30, where senior LeT commander Saifullah Saif made a perilous announcement. Saifullah explicitly stated that “Hafiz Saeed was not remaining inactive; he was preparing to assault India via Bangladesh.”
He asserted that Laskar-e-Taiba operatives were already operational in “East Pakistan (i.e., Bangladesh)” and were ready to “respond to India (for Operation Sindoor).”
Additional intelligence suggests that Saeed has sent a close associate to Bangladesh to radicalize local youth under the guise of ‘jihad’ and to provide them with terrorist training.
The video also depicts Saif openly inciting individuals to wage war against India. Alarmingly, the event was attended by children, clearly indicating that terrorist organizations are attempting to exploit and indoctrinate minors for the purpose of ‘jihad’ against India.
The provocative language and the evident presence of children underscore the significant threat of radicalization being orchestrated from Pakistani territory.
Adding a geopolitical aspect to his alarming assertions, Saif also unfoundedly lauded the Pakistani military, referencing an alleged response following what he described as “India’s Operation Sindoor” on the night of May 9-10.
He further claimed a transformation in international alliances, stating, “Now, America is aligned with us, and Bangladesh is also re-establishing closer ties with Pakistan.” These assertions regarding shifting alliances seem designed to elevate the spirits of the attendees while confirming the deliberate efforts by LeT to activate and employ a new operational front right on India’s eastern border.
Security agencies are currently on high alert concerning this new and intricate threat arising from the Bangladesh-Pakistan connection, according to sources. Surveillance efforts have been heightened to monitor infiltration from Bangladesh.
