Elon Musk has intensified his feud with former U.S. President Donald Trump by posting a resurfaced 1992 video showing Trump socializing with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. The clip, shared on Musk’s platform X, shows Trump dancing and mingling with several women alongside Epstein at a party.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: (Trump) is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote, suggesting the sealed documents related to Epstein’s crimes include Trump’s name. He implied that this is why the files have not been made fully public.
Musk’s post quickly sparked political backlash, with critics of Trump demanding the unsealing of all documents tied to the Epstein investigation. The timing of the post is notable, coming shortly after Musk stepped down from an advisory role at the White House, reportedly over policy disagreements.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt dismissed Musk’s claims, calling them “an unfortunate episode” and accusing him of retaliating after a recent bill failed to include provisions he had supported.
Democrats seized the opportunity. Congressman Dan Goldman said Musk’s claims confirmed his long-held suspicions that Attorney General Pam Bondi was shielding Trump by withholding the files. Representative Ted Lieu also urged the Justice Department to release all related documents.
Trump has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein but has denied any deeper connection, including ever visiting Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, reports such as one by PolitiFact have stated that Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet at least seven times.
While thousands of Epstein-related documents have been released since his 2019 death in jail—ruled a suicide—most have contained limited revelations about high-profile individuals. Musk’s post has reignited public interest and pressure for transparency.
“The American people deserve to know if our president is a pedophile,” wrote Tim Miller, a former Republican strategist and vocal Trump critic.
As the feud between Musk and Trump intensifies, the call for full disclosure of Epstein’s files is gaining new momentum.
