A 22-year-old Flipkart delivery agent has been arrested after a woman accused him of forcing his way into her apartment and exposing himself after claiming he urgently needed to use the washroom.

According to police, the incident took place after the delivery agent arrived at the woman’s residence to deliver an online order. After handing over the package, he requested permission to use the washroom, saying it was an emergency. The woman, who was alone at home, refused and suggested he ask a neighbour instead.

Despite her repeated refusals, the accused allegedly entered the apartment without her consent after removing his shoes. Police said he used the washroom and then allegedly flashed at the woman before leaving the premises.

The woman later shared her experience on social media, where the post gained widespread attention. Bengaluru Police subsequently contacted her, following which she lodged a formal complaint.

Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police Saidulu Adavath said a case was registered under Sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused, identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat, 22, was arrested shortly after the complaint was filed.

Responding to the incident, Flipkart said it had immediately terminated the delivery agent and was cooperating fully with the police investigation. The company stated that customer safety remains its highest priority and expressed support for the complainant
