NEW DELHI: A routine argument over the route of an electric bus on Sunday evening escalated into violence when a bus marshal allegedly bit off a conductor’s finger.
According to the complaint, the dispute broke out after marshal Mansingh and the driver insisted on taking the Lajpat Nagar Ring Road flyover, while the conductor pressed for a parallel route. The disagreement left the bus stuck in traffic — and tempers flared.
The conductor later told police that his left middle finger was severed in the scuffle. “Medical examination confirmed that the finger was amputated,” officials said.
Mansingh has been arrested.
