Last week, between 5 and 11 June, the volume of agricultural products exported via the Black Sea Grain Initiative increased to 651,000 tonnes, up 65% from a week ago.

Details: Over the past week, 13 ships were loaded – 6 more than the previous week.

These vessels have been loaded, but are still awaiting the inspections they need to pass in order to continue on to customers.

Quote from the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club: “It is worth noting that these weekly shipment figures remain below the average over the history of the grain corridor. In addition, only seven vessels were inspected for entry last week, which is a critically low figure.”

More details: During week 45 of the grain corridor’s operation, the biggest exports were:

  • maize (54% of exports during this period);
  • wheat (38%);
  • sunflower oil (7%).

Ukrainian food was shipped to Asia (Israel, Bangladesh, China and other countries), Africa (Egypt, Kenya) and Europe (Spain).

A total of 31.6 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported through Ukrainian ports since the start of the Black Sea Grain Initiative from 1 August 2022 to 11 June 2023.
