Security agencies across Delhi and Haryana have launched a coordinated investigation after two separate shootings targeting gym establishments occurred on Thursday, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claiming responsibility for both incidents through social media posts.
In West Delhi, unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants fired multiple rounds at the 24 HS Fitness gym, creating panic in the area. Shortly after the attack, a social media account operating under the name “Anil Pandit” claimed that the shooting had been carried out jointly by the Lawrence Bishnoi network and associates based overseas.
The post alleged that the gym, linked to singer and actor Guru Randhawa, was targeted due to his alleged proximity to actor Salman Khan, who has long remained on the gang’s radar. The message also contained threats against individuals allegedly connected to the gang’s rivals.
On the same day, fitness trainer Kapil Redhu was shot dead near Fawwara Chowk in Hansi, Haryana. According to police, Redhu was conducting an outdoor workout session when motorcycle-borne shooters opened fire at close range before fleeing the scene. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras.
A separate social media post, allegedly linked to gang members Hari Boxer, RD Dhaliwal, Harman Sandhu, and Vikram Kridan, claimed responsibility for Redhu’s killing. The gang accused him of supporting rival criminal groups and stated that previous warnings had been ignored.
Investigators are now examining CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and ballistic reports to determine whether the same shooters or operational network were involved in both attacks. Cybercrime units and police teams from Delhi and Haryana are also working to verify the authenticity of the online claims.
Authorities have heightened security measures amid concerns over the continued use of social media platforms by organized crime networks operating from abroad to issue threats, claim attacks, and coordinate criminal activities. Police officials have not yet confirmed any direct link between the two incidents, and investigations remain ongoing.
