BGN has reached another important milestone in the growth of its shipping operations with the successful financing of an additional two newbuild LPG Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs), HB Harmony and HB Frontier, through HMMB INT Shipping – BGN’s joint venture with Korean shipping partners, HMM.

The transaction supports the continued expansion of BGN’s modern LPG fleet and reflects BGN’s long-term commitment to investing in efficient, future-ready shipping vessels which meet international environmental standards, while also enabling the business to expand its global LPG operations.

The two new 88,000 cbm capacity LPG VLGCs HB Harmony and HB Frontier are expected to be delivered in early 2027.

The financing package was successfully completed with the support of Standard Chartered.

BGN Shipping Director, Ozan Turgut said;

“Strong partnerships remain central to BGN’s growth strategy and we thank all the team at Standard Chartered for their support in closing this financing package which enables us to continue to expand our global LPG operations. We are also pleased to again be working with our maritime partners HMM to add yet another two state-of-the-art LPG VLGCs to our fleet. This is another significant milestone for BGN which will enhance our shipping capabilities and further demonstrates our commitment to sustainable growth.”
