BENGALURU: A 23-year-old courier delivery worker was allegedly stabbed by four men after honking at them for blocking a road near his residence in Banaswadi.
According to police, the incident took place between 10 pm and 10.30 pm on May 9 on I Cross in Sathyanagar.
Argument Escalated After Victim Asked Men to Move
The victim, Appu, told police he was returning home from work when a group of men blocked the road and refused to let him pass.
After honking and asking them to make way, an argument allegedly broke out between the two sides.
Police said one of the men then stabbed Appu on the upper left side of his chest.
Locals Rushed to Help After Attack
Hearing his cries for help, local residents and passers-by rushed to the spot, causing the accused to flee.
Appu’s elder brother later took him to a hospital for treatment.
Police Register Case Under BNS
Police have registered a case under Section 118 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relates to voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt using dangerous weapons or means.
An investigation is underway to identify and trace the attackers.
