A 31-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after enduring months of physical, mental, and financial harassment over dowry demands in Bengaluru. Police have arrested her husband and father-in-law in connection with the case.
According to the victim’s family, she was subjected to continuous abuse after her marriage, while her husband allegedly took control of her salary and demanded additional money from her parents. Unable to cope with the prolonged harassment, she allegedly took the extreme step.
Based on a complaint filed by the woman’s family, police registered a case and arrested the accused. The investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances leading to the woman’s death.
