The body of an unidentified woman was found stuffed inside a bag at a secluded dumping yard in Noida’s Sector 142 on Saturday evening. Even after 24 hours, police had not been able to establish her identity.

The woman, believed to be between 22 and 25 years old and over five feet tall, was found with her hands and legs bound with white cloth. Her face was severely burnt — suspected to be caused by acid — and deep cuts were found on her neck. Police said the body appeared to be at least three days old.

According to investigators, the victim was forcibly packed into an ordinary bag before being dumped at the isolated site. “We received information about the body on Saturday evening and immediately sent teams to the location,” said Santosh Kumar.

The dumping yard in Sector 142 is in a remote area with no CCTV cameras, and even nearby shops and residences lack surveillance systems, hampering efforts to trace the accused’s movements.

Police have launched an investigation, but officials said no significant leads have emerged so far.
