NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to stay the ongoing counselling process for undergraduate medical admissions based on NEET-UG 2025 but agreed to hear the concerns raised by two students.
The petitioners, who appeared for the exam at a centre in Madhya Pradesh, claimed they were adversely affected due to a power outage during the test. After the Madhya Pradesh High Court dismissed their plea for a re-test on July 14, they approached the apex court seeking relief.
A bench comprising Justices P. S. Narasimha and A. S. Chandurkar agreed to hear the matter but made it clear that the counselling process would not be halted. The case has been listed for hearing on Friday.
