RAIPUR: A 25-year-old man was brutally killed with an axe by two juveniles and a 19-year-old youth in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district late Wednesday night, police said.
The incident took place in Tamnar region, where the victim, identified as Sujit Xalxo, was first confronted by the accused while he was out walking his dog. Police said an argument broke out, stemming from an old enmity.
Later that night, when Sujit went to his uncle’s house for dinner, the three accused followed him. They called him outside, and as soon as he stepped out, he was attacked with an axe and killed on the spot.
Raigarh SP Divyang Patel confirmed that 19-year-old Suraj Dhanwar and two 16-year-old minors were taken into custody on Thursday. Police said further investigation is underway.
