New Delhi: Several schools in the capital received bomb threats on Saturday, triggering evacuations and large-scale security sweeps, news agency ANI reported.
Among those targeted were Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. Bomb squads and police teams were rushed to the campuses, and students and staff were moved out as a precaution. Searches are still in progress.
The threats come just days after a similar scare at the Delhi High Court, where an email warned of a blast inside a judge’s chamber. The message—sent from an account under the name Kanimozhi Thevidiya—claimed links to Pakistan’s ISI, mentioned Coimbatore-based “cells,” and referred to plans to “recreate the 1998 blasts.” It also carried incendiary language about Indian politics, threatening violence against family members of political leaders. No explosives were found after checks at the court.
Police are now investigating both the school threats and the earlier email, viewing them as potentially connected incidents under a wider security probe.
