NEW DELHI: A 42-year-old man was shot dead and his wife critically injured after an alleged attack by their son’s friend in north-west Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar on Wednesday.
Police responded to a PCR call and arrived at the scene to find the couple with gunshot wounds. The man, identified as Ashok, was rushed to a hospital but declared brought dead. His wife, 40-year-old Rachna, sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
At the time of the incident, the couple’s son was not at home. According to a preliminary investigation, he had previously been living with the suspected attacker but had recently moved out for reasons still under inquiry.
Police are continuing their investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the crime.
