JAMMU: A goods train derailed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Thursday morning after debris from a rain-induced landslide blocked the railway tracks, disrupting traffic on the busy Jammu-Pathankot route.

Two wagons of the train went off the tracks due to the landslide. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

“Senior railway officials promptly arrived at the site. The debris was cleared and train services were restored within 30 minutes,” a railway official said.
