NEW DELHI: Police on Saturday arrested three drug peddlers and attached properties linked to two others—including a residential house—across the Jammu division. Over ₹2 lakh and a substantial quantity of banned tablets were seized during a raid in Katra town of Reasi district, a police spokesperson said.

Two of the accused were arrested in Jammu’s Miran Sahib and Ware House areas, where police recovered 18.35 grams and 9 grams of heroin, respectively. Another peddler was detained in Kathua district.

In Reasi, police raided the residence of Renu Devi near the Chintamani temple in Katra, seizing 100 Tramadol capsules, 74 Alprazolam tablets, 14 Petril tablets, and more than ₹2 lakh in cash.

“Preliminary investigation indicates the cash was proceeds from the illegal sale of controlled drugs,” the spokesperson told PTI. A case has been registered, and further inquiries are underway to trace the drug supply chain and uncover the wider network.
