SHIMLA: Relentless rainfall continues to wreak havoc across Himachal Pradesh, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Flash floods, landslides, and overflowing rivers have devastated villages, damaged apple orchards, and cut off road access to several regions.

As of Thursday, more than 300 roads remain blocked statewide, severely affecting mobility and emergency services. The situation is particularly grim in Mandi district, which accounts for 171 of the 291 blocked roads reported by authorities.

Seraj region alone reports 70 road blockages, underscoring the intensity of the damage in interior areas.

The Shimla district also experienced severe disruption after a flash flood struck the Rampur area, though no casualties have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, large parts of the state are struggling with widespread power outages and disrupted water supply, leaving residents without basic necessities.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and restoration efforts are ongoing, though continued rainfall is hampering progress. The Himachal Pradesh disaster management department has urged residents to stay indoors, avoid travel in hilly terrain, and remain alert for further weather warnings.
