NEW DELHI: Investigative agencies reported that approximately eight terrorists were planning to execute a series of bombings in various cities throughout India, as per information from news agency. The report indicated that the terrorists intended to travel to four cities in pairs, each group carrying multiple IEDs with them.
“Approximately eight suspects aimed to conduct a serial blast at four different locations. They had organized their movement to four cities in pairs, with each group expected to transport several IEDs,” the sources disclosed. Additionally, sources within the investigative agency informed ANI that Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Adeel, Umar, and Shaheen collectively raised around Rs 20 lakhs in cash, which was given to Umar prior to the Delhi explosion. “Subsequently, they acquired over 20 quintals of NPK Fertilizer valued at Rs 3 lakhs from Gurugram, Nuh, and surrounding areas, which was intended for the preparation of IEDs,” the sources stated.

The investigative agencies are also examining whether distinct vehicles were being prepared for the explosions. The investigation has uncovered that terrorists were intending to prepare two additional similar older vehicles, which would be equipped with explosives to increase the target size. “The agency’s investigation is currently also assessing whether separate vehicles were being arranged for the explosions,” sources indicated. “Following the i20 and EcoSport incidents, it was discovered that the suspects were planning to prepare two more similar older vehicles, which would contain explosives and expand the target,” they noted.
