New Delhi: Delhi Police’s special cell has uncovered a mobile drug manufacturing unit operating out of West Delhi’s Nilothi Extension and arrested four foreign nationals from Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire for allegedly producing and distributing narcotics across multiple states. The operation led to the seizure of drugs valued at over ₹100 crore in the international market.

The breakthrough came on November 1, when police intercepted Ezebuenyi Esther Osita, alias Ella, near the Dhaula Kuan bus stand based on a tip-off. Officers recovered 17 kg of methamphetamine and 700 drug tablets hidden in her trolley bag. During questioning, Osita disclosed that she had sourced the consignment from Charles Chimuanya Ebereonwu, a resident of Chander Vihar, and was headed to Bengaluru to deliver it to Diarra Idriss, alias White Money, DCP (Special Cell) Aalap Patel said.

Following her statement, police arrested Ebereonwu from Chander Vihar and seized an additional 3 kg of methamphetamine. A raid on Tek Chand Colony in Nilothi Extension revealed a fully functional mobile drug lab equipped with chemical precursors, solvents, calcium chloride, methanol, and various coloured and clear liquid compounds. Ebereonwu later admitted he manufactured the narcotics with the help of Chinoye Emmanuel, who was subsequently arrested.

Idriss was detained in Bengaluru on November 7.

According to investigators, Osita regularly collected drug consignments from market areas in Janakpuri, Vikaspuri and Uttam Nagar before travelling to Bengaluru or Mumbai by train, concealing the contraband in secret compartments of her luggage.

Police said Ebereonwu distributed the drugs through a courier network and had been running the operation for more than three years. Idriss sourced narcotics from his Delhi-based associates, including Osita, and sold them in Bengaluru, sending the proceeds back to Nigeria via informal channels.
