Four educational institutions in Fullerton, namely Sunny Hill High School, Fullerton Union High School, Troy High School, and Fern Drive Elementary School, were placed under lockdown following the receipt of distinct bomb threats, as reported by NBC Los Angeles. The initial threat was reported around 1:25 p.m, with two additional threats following shortly thereafter, according to Fullerton police Officer Kristy Wells. The public was advised to stay away from the schools while police conduct their investigation, Wells stated. “Fullerton Police Officers are currently addressing three separate bomb threats that were received through phone calls at Sunny Hills High School, Fullerton Union High School, and Troy High School. All three campuses are under lockdown as officers conduct a comprehensive investigation of the threats,” the Fullerton Police Department communicated in a statement on X.
Subsequently, students at Fern Drive Elementary School were released, according to updates from law enforcement. “Students at Fern Drive Elementary have been released. Sunny Hills High School continues to be on lockdown,” the police indicated in a post on X.
