MADHUBANI: A 67-year-old man was killed after being attacked by over 20 monkeys while collecting fodder for his cattle at Shahpur village in Bihar’s Madhubani district on Sunday morning.
The victim, identified as Ramnath Chaudhary, a retired clerk of the now-defunct Lohat Sugar Mill, sustained severe injuries before locals could intervene. He was rushed to Madhubani Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The incident triggered panic in the area, with villagers demanding immediate action. Following information from local mukhiya Ramkumar Yadav, Pandaul circle officer Purushottam Kumar and police station in-charge Md Nadeem reached the spot and urged the forest department to capture the monkeys.
