The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia has issued a security alert warning American citizens of potential attacks on airports, airspace closures and flight disruptions amid escalating hostilities involving Houthi forces and the Kingdom.

The alert said Houthi attacks on civilian airports and critical infrastructure had caused casualties and severe travel disruptions, with the possibility of further escalation.

The embassy urged Americans to exercise extreme caution at airports and check flight information directly with airlines and airport authorities. Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has partially resumed operations, while airports in Jeddah and Dammam remain operational, though delays and cancellations have been reported.

The advisory also warned against photographing or sharing information about missile and drone interceptions, citing potential legal consequences under Saudi regulations.

The alert follows renewed regional tensions and reported attacks targeting Saudi aviation and oil infrastructure.
