US President Donald Trump has hinted at renewed military action against Iran if Tehran fails to reach a diplomatic agreement with Washington. Speaking at a campaign rally in Florida on Friday, Trump referred to previous US military operations and criticised Iran’s leadership.

“We may do another little Epic Fury, or they’ll agree,” Trump said, according to Fox News, suggesting that further military action remained a possibility if diplomatic efforts failed.

He urged Iranian leaders to negotiate, saying they should agree to discuss the issues, while expressing doubt that Tehran would do so.

Trump also referred to previous US military operations against Iran, claiming that Operation Midnight Hammer had destroyed the country’s nuclear enrichment capabilities. He said Washington had defeated Iran militarily and financially and was working to ensure that the results were secured.

His remarks came amid renewed speculation about possible US strikes on Iran following comments by US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack, who said military action could take place as early as the weekend.

US Ambassador Says Strike Could Happen Soon

Speaking to podcast host Mario Nawfal during a visit to the Gulf on Friday, Barrack said a US strike on Iran over the weekend was possible. However, he stressed that Trump remained open to a diplomatic agreement.

“President Donald Trump is very clear. He’s open and available and accessible to a deal,” Barrack said, adding that negotiations had been ongoing for months.

Barrack serves as the US envoy for Syria but does not have a direct role in shaping Washington’s Iran policy.

Trump Responds to Ambassador’s Remarks

When asked about Barrack’s comments and whether the administration was considering military action before the US midterm elections, Trump said he was unaware of any such plan.

The conflicting remarks have added to uncertainty over Washington’s next steps towards Tehran, with the US president publicly maintaining the possibility of military action while also leaving the door open to diplomacy.

The situation follows earlier US and Israeli military strikes against Iran under Operation Epic Fury in February. The attacks reportedly killed Iran’s then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family.

For now, Trump’s latest statements indicate that the US administration is continuing to present diplomacy and the threat of further military action as possible paths forward, although no new strike was confirmed in the remarks cited.
