Food Safety officials inspected a Blinkit retail facility in Mangaluru after a consumer complained that eggs ordered through the platform were damaged and allegedly contained a worm.
During the inspection at the Falnir Square facility, officials found packets containing broken eggs and directed staff to remove and dispose of them immediately. The storage area was also temporarily sealed to allow thorough cleaning and sanitisation.
The Food Safety Department said a notice would be issued to the facility seeking an explanation from its management. Further action will depend on the inspection findings and the company’s response. Blinkit had not issued an immediate comment.
