The reported strikes targeted headquarters associated with the Komala party and the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) in the Soran district of Erbil province. Telegram channels claimed that a wave of suicide drones struck the area, although details surrounding the attack and the extent of the damage remained unclear.
Heavy explosions were reportedly heard across eastern Erbil, while large flames illuminated the night sky following the strikes.
The reported attack came a day after drones targeted a US diplomatic support facility at Baghdad International Airport, adding to concerns over a possible escalation in attacks across Iraq.
