The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party (JSP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), partners in the Andhra Pradesh ruling coalition, have jointly urged their cadres to remain alert against alleged fake social media accounts aimed at creating differences within the alliance.
In a statement issued by the NDA social media coordination committee, the three parties alleged that supporters of the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) were operating fictitious accounts while posing as supporters of alliance partners. These accounts were allegedly being used to make derogatory remarks and launch personal attacks against leaders of other NDA parties.
The committee cited examples of accounts allegedly posing as TDP supporters praising Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu while attacking Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and vice versa. It warned that such posts could provoke genuine party workers and lead to unnecessary disputes among alliance partners.
The NDA committee appealed to cadres not to react impulsively to suspicious posts and instead report them to their respective party leaderships for verification. It also warned that genuine party workers engaging in abusive comments, personal attacks or vindictive campaigns against leaders of partner parties or their families could face strict action.
The three parties stressed the need to maintain alliance unity and focus on promoting the development and welfare initiatives of the Central and state governments. They also called on their social media teams to counter misinformation with verified facts rather than engaging in personal attacks.
The committee said cooperation among the three parties was essential to prevent alleged attempts to create discord within the ruling coalition.
