A first-year paramedical student was detained for questioning after a handwritten note containing alleged bomb-making information was discovered in the X-ray department of Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College in Ayodhya.
The note was found by staff members after the night shift in the X-ray laboratory on Saturday. It was immediately handed over to the medical college administration, which alerted the police for further investigation.
According to the college’s Chief Medical Superintendent, the administration acted promptly after receiving the suspicious note and informed law enforcement without delay.
Police identified the student as Sarfaraz, a resident of Balrampur district who is enrolled in the laboratory technician course at the medical college. During questioning, he reportedly told investigators that he had copied the bomb-making information from a movie he watched on his laptop while on night duty.
Authorities are verifying his statement. Officials from the Special Operations Group (SOG), Special Task Force (STF), Special Branch, and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) also questioned the student, along with two other students, as part of the investigation.
Police have not made any arrests or filed charges in the case so far. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the note.
