Delhi Police have launched a search operation for a man accused of sexually assaulting his 14-year-old daughter at her home in Jahangirpuri, northwest Delhi. The accused remains absconding.
According to the FIR, the alleged assault took place on July 7 when the girl’s mother and younger brother were away. Police said the accused, who lives separately in Badli village, allegedly threatened to kill the survivor and her mother if she disclosed the incident.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rape and criminal intimidation, along with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The survivor has undergone a medical examination, and her statement has been recorded under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Police said multiple teams are working to trace and arrest the accused, while further investigation is underway.
