NEW DELHI: The Centre on Friday increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹993 across the country, according to news agency ANI citing sources.

With the latest revision, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will now cost ₹3,071.50 in Delhi. Domestic LPG prices, however, remain unchanged.

The hike comes amid growing concerns over India’s energy supply as tensions in West Asia continue to raise fears of disruptions to global oil routes.

State-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said there has been no change in the retail prices of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG (14.2 kg cylinders), ensuring that household consumers remain insulated from the recent surge in international fuel prices.

“There is no change in prices of domestic LPG (14.2 kg) for 33 crore consumers. There is also no change in ATF prices for domestic airlines (scheduled operations),” IOC said in a statement.

The company added that nearly 80% of petroleum products have seen no price revision, helping maintain stability for most consumers. Prices of bulk and commercial LPG cylinders—accounting for less than 1% of total consumption—have been revised upward. Bulk diesel and ATF for international airline operations have also been increased.

At the same time, around 4% of petroleum products have seen a price cut, reflecting fluctuations in global markets.

According to IOC, the adjustments reflect a calibrated approach by oil marketing companies, under the guidance of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, to align domestic pricing with global trends while protecting consumers and maintaining economic stability.

Further details are awaited as the situation develops.
