A major security operation was launched across several schools in Gurgaon after bomb threat emails sparked panic among students, parents, and school authorities.

At least 10 schools, including Suncity, HDFC Amity, and Shriram, received threatening emails late Tuesday, prompting immediate precautionary measures. Following the alerts, students were evacuated from school premises to ensure their safety.

Police teams responded swiftly, deploying personnel from local stations along with dog squads, bomb disposal units, and other specialised forces. Authorities conducted extensive searches across classrooms, buildings, and surrounding areas.

Officials later confirmed that no explosives or suspicious objects were found during the operation, indicating that the threats were likely hoaxes.

Despite this, the incident led to heightened security across educational institutions in the city. Schools activated emergency protocols, while police maintained a strong presence in and around campuses to prevent any untoward incident.

Senior officers said that multiple teams are now investigating the origin of the emails. Cyber experts have been brought in to analyse the messages, verify their authenticity, and trace those responsible.

Police emphasised that the law and order situation remains under control and urged the public not to panic or spread rumours. Residents have been advised to report any suspicious activity immediately, as surveillance—both physical and digital—has been intensified.
