Wallenius Lines has agreed to acquire SOL Group’s shares in Wallenius SOL, becoming sole owner of the joint venture, according to the company.
The transaction consolidates ownership under a single shareholder, tightening control over the company’s next development phase while leaving operations, management and strategic direction unchanged.
Completion remains subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority and the Inspectorate of Strategic Products.
Wallenius SOL will continue to operate under its existing leadership and long-term Blueprint 2030 plan, maintaining its commercial focus across the Gulf of Bothnia, the Baltic Sea and the North Sea without changes to its offering.
Chief executive Erik Nøklebye said full ownership enables a more integrated approach to developing the business as a platform for industrial logistics and infrastructure in Northern Europe.
SOL Group chief executive Tommy Kalin said the exit follows the build-out of a strong industrial platform during the joint ownership period and expressed confidence in the company’s continued development.
Wallenius SOL chief executive Elvir Dzanic said the new ownership structure provides clearer long-term conditions to execute the company’s strategy, with continued focus on customers and value chain partnerships.
