Senior leaders of the Indian and United States Air Forces held high-level discussions in Arlington aimed at deepening defence cooperation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a statement.

According to the IAF, the talks focused on enhancing interoperability, expanding joint training initiatives, advancing capability development, and promoting shared learning between the two forces.

The Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, General Kenneth Wilsbach, hosted India’s Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, who was accorded full ceremonial honours. The discussions involved senior U.S. Air Force leadership and reflected a shared commitment to strengthening operational coordination.

As part of the visit, Air Chief Marshal Singh also travelled to Peterson Space Force Base and Nellis Air Force Base. His itinerary included a familiarisation flight aboard an F-15EX fighter aircraft.

Earlier, on April 9, Singh visited Peterson Space Force Base, where he held strategic discussions with General Gregory M. Guillot, Commander of U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM).

Welcoming the Indian Air Chief, U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said the visit would further enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen ties between the two nations.

The Indian Air Force described the engagements as a “productive exchange of perspectives on complex operational modalities,” highlighting the growing depth and scope of the India–U.S. defence partnership.

Air Chief Marshal Singh arrived in the United States on April 6 for the official visit. He was received by India’s Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Mohan Kwatra, who noted that the visit would help sustain and strengthen the already robust and expanding relationship between the two Air Forces.
