A container fire on board the London-registered vessel Ever Lenient at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal has been extinguished, Singapore’s maritime authority said.

The blaze broke out at about 3 p.m. on April 10, prompting an overnight emergency response.

All crew were accounted for, with no reported injuries or oil pollution.  Firefighting operations were led through the night by the Singapore Civil Defence Force, while patrol craft enforced a seaward cordon and drones carried out aerial surveillance.

PSA Singapore is assisting with the controlled discharge of affected containers as investigations into the cause continue. Safety measures remain in place around the berth, with terminal operations proceeding without disruption.

Public vessel databases show Ever Lenient is a 2014-built container ship sailing under the UK flag.
