HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the mid-tier shipbuilding holding company of HD Hyundai, said on the 6th it signed a contract with a Greek regional shipping company to build two crude oil carriers worth 263.2 billion won. The 157,000-deadweight-ton class vessels will be built at HD Hyundai Samho and delivered by May 31, 2029.

With this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has won a total of 31 vessels to date, worth $4.55 billion (about 6.7162 trillion won), achieving 19.5% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion (about 34.4195 trillion won).

By ship type, the tally includes 10 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 10 container ships, three liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia carriers, six crude oil carriers, and two product carriers.
