BATHINDA: A Punjab native living in Canada died in a motorcycle accident in Peru while on a solo world tour, family members confirmed on Tuesday.
Raghbir Singh Bharowal, 42, originally from Punjab and residing in Surrey, Canada, was a regulated Canadian immigration consultant and a father of three. He had embarked on a solo motorcycle journey titled the “Flying Khalsa World Tour.”
According to reports, Raghbir had been travelling for the past few weeks as part of the tour. His last social media post was a short video from Peru three days before contact with him was lost.
Surrey-based journalist Gurpreet Singh Sahota said the family grew concerned after they were unable to reach him for several days and began making inquiries. They later learned of his death on Tuesday.
Raghbir’s father, Pritam Singh Bharowal, who also lives in Surrey but is currently in Ludhiana to attend a wedding, said his son had set out on the global trip around three months ago on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He had planned to travel across 31 countries as part of the adventure journey.
