NEW DELHI: Unidentified assailants opened fire on a car carrying members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s legal team on Tuesday night. The incident took place around 10:15 pm, with at least one occupant reportedly coming under direct fire.
According to sources, suspected members of a rival gang intercepted the vehicle, which was carrying a lawyer and his staff, before firing a minimum of four rounds at it.
Police personnel reached the scene shortly after the attack and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify the shooters.
The Delhi Police’s Special Cell and Crime Branch have also joined the probe into the incident.
