NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said her government is undertaking a series of long-pending development initiatives aimed at public welfare.
The chief minister inaugurated 146 development projects worth ₹85 crore in the SC/ST colony cluster at Malkaganj Chowk in the Timarpur area.
Addressing residents, Gupta said families in the locality had been awaiting basic infrastructure improvements for years. “For the first time, a government has taken concrete steps to fulfil their aspirations,” she said.
She asserted that her administration has revived several stalled projects across the capital, including the construction of roadside drains and flyovers, hostels for persons with disabilities, coaching support for students, and other civic works.
Gupta said the return of a BJP government in Delhi after 27 years has enabled the implementation of these initiatives. “With the mandate given by the people, we are now able to accelerate development in the city. We are also opening Arogya Mandirs and Atal Canteens,” she said.
The chief minister added that ₹100 crore has been allocated for development works in each Assembly constituency.
