On Sunday, a team from the National Investigating Agency conducted a raid at the residence of a retired postal department official in Bihar, as part of the investigation into the blast that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi earlier this month, according to police reports.

Deepak Kumar, the Station House Officer of Mansi police station in Khagaria district, stated that the NIA team initiated the raid at a house in Saidpur village around 3 am, with the search operation lasting for nearly five hours.

While the SHO refrained from disclosing the specific case related to the raid, sources within the district police indicated that the team was probing the car explosion that took place near the Red Fort on November 10, which resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives.

The residence that was raided belonged to Abdul Hadi, a retired branch postmaster, who later addressed journalists.

“We are respectable individuals and were shocked when the NIA agents entered our home in the early morning hours. We have no idea why they targeted us. No one in my family has ever been involved in any legal issues,” Hadi remarked.

“The entire house was thoroughly searched. Every nook and cranny was examined using metal detectors. The raiding team also inspected mobile phones. The female members of the family are in distress. This is a form of torture,” he asserted.
